Sona Selection India Ltd., incorporated in February 2022, operates in the textile manufacturing and processing industry with a focus on value-added fabric products. The company manufactures cotton fabrics, stretch fabrics, cotton blends and polyester blends, while also providing processing services for fabrics supplied by customers. Its operations are supported by a manufacturing facility in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, covering around 49,540 sq. metres and having an installed processing capacity of 82.44 million metres annually. The facility carries out processes such as bleaching, dyeing and finishing, allowing the company to handle multiple stages of fabric processing under its operating model. Since acquiring a textile processing unit in 2022 and commissioning its own cotton fabric processing plant in July 2024, the company has increasingly moved toward a manufacturing-oriented business model while continuing job-work activities. With 979 employees as of July 31, 2026, the company serves customers requiring different fabric specifications and focuses on quality consistency, efficient processing and timely delivery. Its financial performance has also shown considerable improvement, with total income increasing from Rs. 316.47 crore in FY2025 to Rs. 517.60 crore in FY2026, while PAT increased from Rs. 18.56 crore to Rs. 34.02 crore during the same period.
Strong Financial Growth: The company has recorded significant improvement in its financial performance. Total income rose from Rs. 316.47 crore in FY2025 to Rs. 517.60 crore in FY2026, while PAT increased from Rs. 18.56 crore to Rs. 34.02 crore.
Diversified Fabric Portfolio: Its product mix covers 100% cotton, cotton lycra, cotton blends and polyester blends. This allows the company to cater to different textile and apparel requirements rather than depending on a single fabric category.
Integrated Manufacturing Capabilities: The company combines its own manufacturing activities with job-work processing. This model gives it greater involvement across processing, quality control, grading, packing and dispatch operations.
Established Manufacturing Infrastructure: The Bhilwara facility has an installed processing capacity of 82.44 million metres per year and is equipped for key processes such as bleaching, dyeing and finishing, providing a sizeable operating base for future business growth.
Strong Customer Relationships: The company highlights long-standing customer relationships and high customer retention. A stable customer base can support recurring business and provide greater visibility for operations.
High Debt Levels: The company's total borrowings increased from Rs. 207.40 crore in FY2025 to Rs. 258.24 crore in FY2026. Its debt-to-equity ratio stood at 2.48 as of March 31, 2026, indicating a relatively leveraged capital structure.
Dependence on Textile Industry Conditions: The company's performance is linked to the broader textile and apparel industry. Changes in demand, raw-material costs, export conditions and market pricing can affect margins and profitability.
Raw Material and Cost Volatility: Fluctuations in the prices of cotton, polyester and other inputs may put pressure on production costs. The ability to pass higher costs on to customers may vary depending on market conditions and contractual arrangements.
Execution Risk from Capacity Expansion: The company has been transitioning toward a manufacturing-led model and recently added its cotton fabric processing plant. Efficient utilisation of its expanded infrastructure will be important for maintaining growth and improving returns.
Competitive Textile Market: The textile manufacturing and processing industry is highly competitive, with companies competing on price, quality, delivery timelines and product specifications. Increased competition could affect the company's margins or market share.
