About Steamhouse India IPO: Company Overview
Steamhouse India IPO is a book-built public issue of Rs. 414.00 crore comprising a fresh issue of 4.36 crore shares worth Rs. 353.00 crore and an offer for sale of 75.31 lakh shares worth Rs. 61.00 crore. SteamHouse India Limited, incorporated in June 2015, operates in the industrial gas sector and specialises in the generation, procurement and centralised distribution of steam and nitrogen through its pipeline network. Its infrastructure extends across more than 45 km in major industrial locations such as Sachin, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Sarigam, Panoli and Nadesari.
The company provides industrial customers with shared steam and nitrogen infrastructure, helping them avoid the need to develop and maintain individual generation and distribution facilities. Its operations cover steam generation and distribution, purchase and distribution of steam, and nitrogen separation, compression and supply. SteamHouse India also undertakes coal trading. The company serves customers across industrial and chemical sectors, including Aether Industries Limited, Anupam Rasayan India Limited and other established industrial companies. As of July 31, 2026, it had 229 employees and engaged 276 contract labourers.
The IPO is scheduled to open on September 9, 2026 and close on September 11, 2026, with tentative allotment on September 15, 2026 and listing on September 17, 2026 on both BSE and NSE. The price band is Rs. 77 to Rs. 81 per share, with a lot size of 185 shares. At the upper price band, the minimum retail investment is Rs. 14,985. Equirus Capital Ltd. is the book running lead manager, while Kfin Technologies Ltd. is the registrar.
Strengths & Risks of Steamhouse India IPO
Strong Position in a Specialised Industrial Segment: The company operates in the centralised steam and nitrogen distribution space, providing utility solutions to industrial customers across multiple sectors.
Established Pipeline Infrastructure: SteamHouse India has developed a pipeline network exceeding 45 km across important industrial hubs, creating an established infrastructure base for its operations.
High Entry Barriers: The company's infrastructure requirements, technical capabilities and established industrial relationships create barriers that may make it difficult for new competitors to enter the business.
Strategically Located Facilities: Its facilities are positioned in major industrial clusters, allowing the company to serve customers located within concentrated manufacturing and chemical zones.
Established Customer Relationships: The company has built relationships with a range of industrial customers, including companies operating in chemicals, pharmaceuticals and related industries.
Dependence on Industrial Customers: The company's business is closely linked to demand from industrial customers. Any slowdown in the industries it serves could affect utilisation levels and financial performance.
Significant Borrowings: The company had total borrowings of Rs. 281.62 crore as of March 31, 2026, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 1.57. Although a significant portion of the IPO proceeds is proposed for debt repayment, leverage remains an important consideration.
Expansion Execution Risk: The company plans capacity expansion at its Ankleshwar and Panoli facilities and intends to establish a steam generation facility at Dahej SEZ. Delays, cost overruns or execution challenges could affect expected benefits.
Customer Concentration Risk: The company serves a specific industrial customer base. Changes in the requirements, operations or financial condition of major customers could impact revenue and utilisation.
Capital-Intensive Operations: Steam and nitrogen generation and distribution require substantial infrastructure and ongoing capital expenditure. Maintaining and expanding such facilities may require significant financial resources.
