Sunshine Pictures Limited, incorporated in 2007, is a technology-driven content creation and production company engaged in originating, developing, producing, marketing and distributing films, television serials and web series. The company focuses on the complete content lifecycle, including script development, production, intellectual property creation, rights monetisation and distribution. The company has produced and co-produced several commercially successful films, including Force, Commando, Holiday, Force 2, Commando 2 and The Kerala Story. Along with feature films, Sunshine Pictures has produced web series, television serials and short films. As of June 30, 2026, the company had produced ten commercial films, including six co-productions, two web series, two TV serials and one short film.
Sunshine Pictures follows a mix of standalone and co-production projects, helping it balance production risks, investment requirements and potential revenue opportunities. Currently, the company is co-producing two films with Jio Studios and producing one web series for Doordarshan. The company also has a growing digital presence across YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Its YouTube channel has around 162,960 subscribers and 9.18 crore views, while its Instagram and Facebook platforms together have around 104,500 followers. These digital platforms provide additional opportunities for content distribution and monetisation.
Experienced Promoters and Management: The company is backed by promoters and a senior management team with experience in the entertainment and content production industry.
Established Industry Track Record: Sunshine Pictures has produced and co-produced several commercially successful films and has established relationships with studios and other industry participants.
Diversified Content Portfolio: The company operates across films, web series and television content, providing multiple avenues for content creation and revenue generation.
Flexible Production Model: The company undertakes both standalone productions and co-productions. This approach can help balance the risks and capital requirements associated with large-budget projects.
Strong Digital Presence: The company's presence across YouTube, Instagram and Facebook provides additional opportunities for digital content distribution, audience building and monetisation.
Entertainment Industry Risk: The company's performance depends significantly on the commercial success of its films, web series and other content. Audience preferences can change quickly, making the entertainment business inherently unpredictable.
Project Success Risk: Film and content production involves substantial expenditure before revenue is generated. Delays, production issues or poor commercial performance of a project could negatively affect profitability and cash flows.
Dependence on Key Personnel: The company's business relies on experienced promoters, management personnel and creative professionals. The loss of key individuals could affect its operations and future projects.
High Valuation Risk: At the upper price band, the post-issue P/E multiple is around 32.55x based on the supplied IPO valuation data. Investors should therefore consider the valuation along with the company's growth prospects and industry risks.
Volatile Financial Performance: The consolidated financial data shows that total income declined from Rs. 139.46 crore in FY2024 to Rs. 105.80 crore in FY2025, while profit after tax declined from Rs. 53.35 crore to Rs. 34.46 crore. This indicates volatility in the company's financial performance.
