The bank formally introduced the missed call alert feature for account holders on 1st August 2022, on their official MPGB Facebook page, which is beneficial for users in rural villages or areas where smartphones and internet are inaccessible.

To check the MPGB bank balance through the missed call service, the following steps must be followed:

• All you need is a mobile phone and a phone number registered with your MPGB account 

• Dial the number 8010968293 from the phone number that is registered with the MPGB account. 

• The call will get disconnected on its own within 1-5 seconds. 

• You will receive your current balance via SMS from BOI-MPGB on your registered mobile phone. (Note: If multiple MPGB accounts are connected to the same number, then the balance of all accounts will be shown.)

In case you are not receiving any SMS, please confirm that your mobile number is registered with the bank. If your phone number is not registered, then visit your home branch and ask for a mobile number update and SMS alerts form, fill out the form, and submit it to the bank. Your missed call service will be enabled within 24 hours after submitting the application.

2. MPGB Internet Banking 

MPGB offers internet banking services through its official website. This helps individuals to perform banking functions on their mobiles or laptops. The services not just include balance checking but also transferring money and generating mini bank statements. 

Registration Process

• Visit your nearest MPGB branch to obtain the internet banking form.

• Enter the required details, such as your name, account number, phone number, and other details. (Aadhar copy needs to be attached.)

• Submit the form to the bank and wait for activation, which would generally take around 24 hours.

• Once it is activated, you will receive a user ID and a one-time password for the account. This will help you get access to your account.

• To log in to the account, visit the website of the bank and select internet banking.

• Use the user ID and temporary one-time password to log in to your account and change your password to a stronger, more secure permanent password. 

• On the dashboard, locate the “Account Summary” section in the menu. Then you can use features like generating statements and checking bank balances, and also download a statement PDF for printing.

3. ATM and Micro ATM Services

MPGB provides RuPay ATM cards to its customers for their ease of use. RuPay cards are accepted by most ATMs and point-of-sale systems, which makes them very useful for the customers. MPGB also provides credit cards to its customers, i.e., the Swarojgar Credit Card and the Kisan Credit Card.

This is a conventional method and hence does not require access to the internet or a mobile phone. The only thing a customer needs to do to access an ATM is to find it and have a valid ATM card. ATMs can be located using the NPCI ATM Finder website or the MPGB ATM Locator.

• Use either the MPGB Bank ATM Locator or the NPCI ATM Finder to locate the closest ATM. Then, insert your MPGB RuPay Debit Card into an automated teller machine.

• Enter your ATM PIN after selecting your language and account type.
