MCX Trading Time
- Morning session: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Evening session: 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM or 11:55 PM.
- Agricultural Products with International Connections: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM.
- Monday to Friday : 8:45 AM to 8:59 AM
Normal Session:
During daylight saving time in the US, which typically begins in spring, MCX adjusts its trading hours. The trade closing time for internationally referenced non-agriculture commodities is extended from the regular 11:30 PM to 11:55 PM.
Additionally, trade modifications can be made until 11:59 PM, and the position limit/collateral value set-up cut-off time is also extended to 11:59 PM.
Commodity market time is divided into two sessions - morning and evening. The morning session starts at 9:00 AM and lasts till 5:00 PM. The evening session is from 5:00 PM to 11:30/11:55 PM.
Agri-commodities are available for futures trading up to 5:00 PM. whereas other commodities such as Bullions, Metals and Energy products are available up to 11:30 PM/11.55 PM
Special Session:
A special Session (order cancellation session) is held to cancel the pending orders prior to the opening of the market.
