Fast Growth in Deposits: Since becoming a Small Finance Bank, they have placed a strong emphasis on increasing Retail Deposits, as they have lower rates of interest compared to Bulk Deposits. Access to a low-cost, diversified Retail Deposit base has helped to decrease the Cost of Funds from 8.61% to 7.02%.
Credit Risk : Jana's unsecured loans have a higher credit risk than secured loans because customers availing unsecured loans typically have limited sources of income and savings and, as such, generally do not have a high level of financial resilience, and unsecured loans are not supported by collateral.
